Mentone Springs Hotel Rings in the New Year -- Mountain Style

Mentone, Ala. — December 14, 2010 — Looking for a unique destination to ring in the new year? The newly refurbished historic Mentone Springs Hotel will welcome guests and revelers to celebrate New Year’s Eve on Friday, December 31, 2010. Often referred to as the “Grande Dame of Mentone,” the hotel, situated atop Lookout Mountain, AL, operates as a bed & breakfast and will offer charming suites and rooms for a New Year's weekend stay.

The New Year's Eve celebration will begin at 6:30 p.m., including mingling in the stately lobby, and music and dancing in the 1900-square-foot ball room. In the dining rooms, enjoy the cuisine of Chef Benjamin Keener, co-owner of the Wildflower at the Springs Restaurant. Heavy hors d’ oeuvres will be served, such as BBQ Quail, Prime Rib Sliders, Mini Salmon Wellingtons, decadent desserts and more. The event cost is $60 per person or $50 per person when purchasing 4 or more tickets before December 23, 2010. Rooms for overnight guests will be available on a first come first serve basis.
